Danielle & Nick – A wedding in Manchester city centre and no rain?? – The Place Hotel, Manchester

Danielle & Nick - A wedding in Manchester city centre and no rain??

I know its unheard of Sunshine…. In Manchester….. but it happened and i have the images to prove it. Danielle & Nick first heard of Ben Fones Photography at the wedding of Darren & Becky last year and it was Danielle’s dad Roy who first approached me about capturing their big day.

Now every wedding photographer will tell you we look forward to all of our weddings for different reasons but when you get a wedding in a location like this it gives you that little bit more of a kid on Christmas eve feeling. I arrived in Manchester a little bit before 11 am and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky honestly i had to check the sat nav had bought me to the right place. Danielle’s mom and dads house was a hive of activity with hair and make up being done bridesmaids running around and people coming and going for most of the morning, but it wasn’t long before the beautiful bride was ready to make the short journey to church.

An accident on the M6 meant that  a chunk of the family travelling up from Birmingham were a little delayed (yes you Mr Clarke ;-D haha) but the ceremony began and most guests made it just in time. when we left church the sun was still shinning and we all made our way through the city to the most stunning building The Place Hotel. drinks were enjoyed on the 1st floor terrace whilst Danielle, Nick and myself headed up to the penthouse to capture the incredible views over the city.

One of the best parts of my job is being able to capture several weddings for the same family or groups of friends and this was the perfect example of that. Both sides of the family were great fun to be around and i cant wait for the next wedding haha!
